AKA Thailand’s Amir Aliakbari to face Shane Carwin

And it’s official! AKA Thailand heavyweight Amir Aliakbari will be facing former UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion, Shane Carwin, in the quarterfinal of the RIZIN Fighting Federation World Grand Prix Open Weight Tournament on Dec. 29 in Japan! The semi-finals and final of the tournament will take place 2 days later on Dec. 31. Our Greco-Roman World Champ has been training hard following his 1st Round TKO win over Joao Almeida in the start of the tournament back in September. The tournament is STACKED with MMA legends Mirko Cro Cop and Wanderlei Silva competing as well. December can’t come soon enough!
