Wow, what a lineup of talent. Scott Coker and Bellator announce their lineup for the Bellator Grand Prix and it’s absolutely gangbusters. It will be a stacked 10-man grand prix and the following names were announced to be the participants.
Yaroslav Amosov
Jon Fitch
Neiman Gracie
Andrey Koreshkov
Lorenz Larkin
Douglas Lima
Rory MacDonald
Michael Page
Ed Ruth
Currently, Rory MacDonald is sitting on top of the division as their champion. However, it seems that the winner of the tournament should face Rory for the title, but he is a contestant. I’m guessing this is all just totally separate of the belt (like Pride) and there will just be a grand prix tournament winner. It is a little bizarre, but Bellator is known for thinking outside of the box.
Shaun Al-Shatti first reported the news on Twitter.
So to recap, Bellator's 170lb tourney is going to be a 10-man field. Nine of those 10 announced today: Rory, MVP, Lima, Larkin, Koreshkov, Fitch, Gracie, Ruth, Amosov. Sick amount of talent there.
Daley is obviously the glaring omission. One more name expected to be announced.
