A potential title shot eliminator may be at stake, as Teixeira is ranked #3 and Latifi is ranked #4. These are two of the top guys in the division and Latifi will continue his rise or Glover makes a strong case for the next crack at gold.
Teixeira (27-6) has beaten a ‘who’s who’ of fighters during his UFC tenure. OSP, Ryan Bader, Rampage, and most recently, Misha Cirkunov, have all fallen at the hands of Glover. Latifi (14-5-1) is 5-1 over his last six fights and his most recent win over OSP earned him a performance bonus.
These are two big light heavyweight that will be throwing down on a card that will be headlined by another light heavyweight bout; Shogun Rua vs Volkan Oezdemir.
