Marcio Cesar Gracinha is a 3rd degree black belt and seasoned MMA pro

Marcio Cesar Gracinha is the man in charge of the MMA/BJJ program at AKA Thailand. Being a 3rd degree BJJ black belt and a seasoned MMA pro are his credentials that make him a perfect fit for the job.

Coach Marcio began training BJJ 20 years ago. He fell in love with it instantly and within 5 years he began MMA. He joined the famed Chute Boxe Academy where he trained alongside fighters such as Wanderlei Silva, Shogun Rua, and Cris Cyborg. Under supercoach Rafael Cordeiro, Marcio trained with the best that the sport had to offer. He has amassed a pro record of 21-11-3 in some of the top organizations in the world and has gained a wealth of knowledge in combat sports.

In 2011, Marcio moved to Nova Uniao, where some of the all-time greats like Renan Barao and Jose Aldo train out of. It was in 2014 that Marcio moved to Phuket and began training others at AKA Thailand.

Marcio serves as the BJJ instructor here for everyone who comes through our doors; From the seasoned veteran to total newbies, everyone on the mats works with Professor Marcio. He promotes his teaching to everyone and feels that “All levels are welcome”. Marcio doesn’t care about ego or levels. He just focuses on spreading his 20+ years of experience to guests and students who are eager to learn.
