It’s fine to draw comparisons to other people, but when people say, “XXXX is the next XXXX”, it’s unfair. There will only be one Anderson Silva, Georges St Pierre, and Fedor Emelianenko. Those who come after may be similar in style, but none will be the ‘next’. They will be the ‘new’.
That is the message that Mackenzie Dern has for MMA fans and media. She wants to create her own mark in mixed martial arts. She has been successful in smaller promotions but hopes that her impact on MMA begins this Saturday night in her UFC debut.
