UFC 229 is becoming a grudge match between Russia and everyone. Khabib Nurmagomedov is fighting Conor McGregor and Derrick Lewis is taking on Alexander Volkov in the main and co-main events. Then, we have this newly announced fight between Artem and Tukhugov. The ladies are also getting in on that action as Lina Lansberg squares off against Russia’s Yana Kunitskaya.
This is a microcosm of what Rocky IV was about, but with no Cold War.
