Dana White’s Contender Series is really beginning to seem like the best route to the UFC. It used to be the Ultimate Fighter where young talent would get recognized. Now, if you put on an extraordinary performance on DWCS you could be on the fast track to the UFC.
Last night’s episode featured five finishes and four of the winners earned the UFC contract. While every finish was impressive, four of them were REALLY impressive. Dwight Grant, Ryan Spann, Anthony Hernandez, and Matt Sayles impressed Dana White so much that for the first time on the show, four fighters got signed.
Austin Springer did win his fight but he didn’t show Dana what he was looking for. He was the only one left out of the newly signed fighters.
Check out all five finishes from episode two.
